ok this article on the twisties in gymnastics is so interesting. The twisties are basically the yips, except they could make you break your neck. One gymnast had to go back to doing preschool level moves to get past it

📢 @axios : DC IS NOT A TRANSIENT CITY. This is a thing that constantly gets repeated w/ no evidence by people who equate DC with Capitol Hill (or pretending EoTR isn’t DC) . A 2017 study didn’t even have DC in the top 25. 2021 study didn’t have us in top 15. @cuneytdil

incredibly sad to read that the Post is folding Express, our commuter paper. One thing I know for sure is that it was not for lack of quality. Those 20 staffers, who are now all losing their jobs, produced a wonderful product. I will miss their covers.
