Note that the potentials depicted in the poster are the ones of the excited state. The same happens for 11 and 12. 12 has a a higher reduction potential in the ground state 🙂

Thank you Ian! In the first case, the E0-0 between 6 and 7 have a difference greater than 0.2 eV (The methoxy group redshifted the absorption 50 nm). Also is expected that while adding elecron-donating groups, the HOMO energy increases. Hence, the ground state reduction potential
