@ChrisCotF He is now in P4, & we’ve reduced his reading age gap to 12 months. I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved. I’m not a teacher, so I can only imagine what could be achieved with effective reading instruction in our classrooms.

@PureMichigannow @JenniferMilne5 I’m not a teacher, but thanks to the incredible , @EduResAnS , I'm using UFLI too and seeing real progress. I only wish every child in the US and UK could have access to this program. It’s so hard knowing that while we fight for our own, so many others are left behind. (2/2)

@anneglennie This sums up EVERYTHING wrong with Scottish education—politics over evidence, self-preservation over reform. Discredited reading methods persist, our system is in decline, yet there’s little urgency to fix the most fundamental skill: learning to read.
