Center fielder on a steal attempt of 2B should be sprinting toward second as soon as pitch hits catcher glove. Would stop lots of runners going to 3B on throw that gets through like that. Simple fundy’s missing in ML’s.

Interesting fact. Dave Kingman was considered an all or nothing hitter in his era with tons of K’s. He hit 442 HR’s and K’d 1,816 times. That’s a 24.4 K% which is ML Ave right now. Also averaged 37 HR’s and 101 RBI. Let that sink in a bit.

Just finished watching The Pacific miniseries. Every HS aged kid in the US should have to watch this so they can understand the sacrifices the “Best Generation Ever” made for this country. So they can have the freedom of speech, of worship, the freedom from want, and from fear.

I wonder why ML hitters can’t get to upper zone FB’s? Could it be the launch angle swing path so often taught in the game now? They preach pitching up and swinging up. Makes absolutely zero sense folks.

Another farce in the ML’s. Batting glove in back pocket is part of the body on a tag but if you get hit by pitch in the batting glove it’s not. Figure it out please. Get hit on elbow pad that sticks out an extra inch get 1B. Get hit in lose shirt it’s not, I don’t think.

Comparing this year to 2008 off'ly. Same amount of RPG @ 4.65. 1,147 more K's than hits in 2020. 11,088 more hits than K's in 2008. Lot less action. What's the advantage to always swinging for fences? Older style of going for downs early and making adj's w/2K's will com back.

There are 11 teams this year hitting 250 or higher and the 30 teams are averaging 4.29 runs per game . In 2008 28 teams hit 250 or higher and MLB averaged 4.65 RPG. How is this way better Nerds?

Take a look at the 2 K swings of strikeout victims in this day and age compared to the 80's. Few if any cut down their swing to try and put the ball in play. That is the main reason there are so many K's. Yes pitchers throw harder but the strike zone has never been smaller.

Faced him in 1985 in AAA and he was as un hittable as any pitcher ever was. Check out his numbers. 51 IP, gave up 13 hits. Proud to say I hit one of the 2 HR's he gave up. Fence scraper I'm sure.

These kids have no idea how good they have it. The minor lge fields/playing surfaces now are better than most ML field I played on in early 80's. They also have no idea how small the fields (eps in gaps) are, how small the K zone is, how fast the IF is, and how juiced the ball is
