Interesting study on neonatal spinal cord regeneration which appears to be reminiscent of neonatal heart regeneration.
The results of a study in Nature reveal the cellular and molecular basis of the recovery of neonatal mice after spinal cord injury and suggest strategies that could be used to facilitate scar-free healing in the adult mammalian nervous system.

A very nice report on proliferating myocytes in the regenerating zebrafish heart. Turns out enhanced glycolysis and low mitochondrial respiration as a hallmark of proliferating myocytes pans out here too as it does in mice.

A study in Nature reports that MicroRNAs delivered by adeno-associated viral vectors improve global and regional contractility, increase muscle mass and reduce scar size in a porcine model of myocardial infarction.

We did only because we have a team with significant expertise in in silico screens. They found a couple of FDA approved drugs, and one of them is currently the focus of two clinical trials. Time will tell if this was the right decision, but we have definitely learned a lot.
