A very nice report on proliferating myocytes in the regenerating zebrafish heart. Turns out enhanced glycolysis and low mitochondrial respiration as a hallmark of proliferating myocytes pans out here too as it does in mice.

Recently visited @NMAAHC . Incredible museum by any account. One of the most disturbing displays contains 3 shackle sizes. One for adults, one for children and…a tiny one which some slave owners wore as jewelry. Nothing embodies the inhuman nature of this era like this image

@RJDLab We did only because we have a team with significant expertise in in silico screens. They found a couple of FDA approved drugs, and one of them is currently the focus of two clinical trials. Time will tell if this was the right decision, but we have definitely learned a lot.
