Introducing Hero, the first Daily Assistant
Now you can run your life all in one place, with the first voice-guided UX.
Powered by Google Calendar, Weather, Perplexity, Instacart, Reminders and more
Try it on iPhone :
Input code or request invite
Just launched: Your Morning Briefing (sound on 🔉)
As you brush your teeth in the morning, now you can hear a summary of what’s coming up, what to wear, the weather, and any of your interests in the news. So you'll never miss a thing ⛅️
Hear yours with Hero Assistant (link 👇)
Try it now on iPhone :
Input code, or request invite
It's free. And it's live now in the US and Canada, and available for pre-order in other countries. Android is coming.
Unlike Siri, ChatGPT, and well... everyone
Hero is the opposite of a chat interface.
Instead of back and forth Q&A... Hero is the first 1-shot voice interface that updates the screen as you speak
Try to create events, reminders, & notes with voice in Hero
Now you can tap to order your Grocery List
If you're busy, the last thing you want to do is manually input your grocery list into another site to order them.
1) Put your🛒Grocery List in Hero
2) Tap to order if you're busy (via Instacart)
On iPhone
We created Hero to help busy ppl, couples, and parents run their lives with ease. After talking with tons of ppl, we realized the only way was to create a new way to live -- no more checking multiple apps, no more multi-step processes, no more back and forth coordinating
Hero is a new way to live...
1) Instead of jumping between apps → Run your life in one place
2) Instead of doing things manually → Just say it
3) Instead of texting back and forth → Coordinate instantly
The mark of a good feature = It feels inevitable. You can't unsee it.
Example: To plan your day based on the weather... Hero Assistant is the first app to overlay 🌦️ right on your 📆 hr by hr, for 10 days.
You can't unsee it.
See weather on your day:
"An app can only do one thing" they said.
Challenge everything. Hero rethinks design from first principles, to seamlessly integrate your life: calendars, weather, reminders, notes, grocery ordering (Instacart), and search (Perplexity).
Try it yourself:
1 easy trick to feel calmer everyday
See your reminders right below your calendar.
When they're in the same place: you never miss things, and you stop worrying about missing things.
See your reminders below your day, on iPhone :
Don't be a bad dad → Never miss events, by seeing all your calendars in one place
When you jump between calendars, you miss events: Doctors’ appts, kid’s events
Now, Hero is the first to sync real-time w/ every calendar
Stop missing your kid’s events
What is Hero? While we can't say specifically until it's launched in August... we can share the 14 questions that led us to create it
Will share them here over the next week, to see if you arrive at a similar or different answer
@taokawarai
We wanted to make at least the English version available for people in Japan. It will take us a while to support many languages (given it's a voice app), but give us some time!
Almost every app is limited by the number of tabs they can fit at the bottom...
Will apps 5 years from now follow the same design pattern?
What comes next?
@NimrodEshed
Hey Nim, today it's live in the US and Canada, and available for pre-order in other countries. We'll expand country by country from there. What country are you?

Honestly I can’t say a specific date rn (I know). since we just launched and have a small team, we really want to make sure the current is much better than what exists first before moving to second platform

@pokkesuki
Currently it’s available in English. We will support more languages in the future, but this takes a lot of work (since it’s a voice based app)

People haven't realized yet how important this UX is.
Before AI, we all agreed with Steve Jobs that computers should be bicycles for the mind.
Then AI came. We forgot. And now we view AI as a 3rd party we must converse with.
We don't want conversations. We want things done

At a minimum, when you stop switching apps... you forget far fewer things.
But... the real magic is when each piece works together in a way individual apps can't do. (weather on calendar, reminders on calendar, order your grocery list with instacart, perplexity to notes, etc)

hey tom! it uses natural language recognition, so for instance, it does recognize the correct brand (you can see doritos in this video was correctly recognized).
quantity you sometimes need to manually set on instacart, but that feels like a solvable problem so give us time :)
