I normally get an US with and without valsalva. Then I can see if there is fat sliding into the defect. It’s a dynamic study and it is cost effective. This is a good place to start.

I totally agree. I definitely have some lap inguinal PTSD from fellowship but quite honestly they are my favorite case. I also love the robot and how it allows better recognition of all the different planes. I think the lap inguinal learning curve is endless tbh
