I was able to get one of the original Monthly Afternoon issues Blame! Was originally published in, but not only that, it has the famous color page of Cibo becoming a level 9 Safeguard. It's so beautiful and I haven't been this excited to collect something in years.

You don't need explanations for every bit of "lore" in fiction. Things are more interesting when you have to speculate. This strange alien figure appears only once in the original 1979 film, and with little explanation. If it were made today, it would have its own spinoff series.

I love how big of Nihei Supporter Fujimoto is. He always tells others to check out his work and sings his praises about his art (especially in abara). Fujimoto always gives credit to those who inspire him the most and I love that about him.

So the rare Blame! Item I managed to get is here now. It's a brand new sealed copy of the US release of the Blame! Ova from 2003.
I'm a huge fan of this Ova, and I'm so glad to finally be able to own it. I plan to watch it again soon!

It's the first time we got a really good look at the abandoned cities spread throughout the megastructure. It's absolutely chaotic and lonely but with its own beauty and charm.

I'd bet my money that the artwork that inspired Nihei the most from H.R Gigers' stuff would be the Shaft series. It's so similar in style to his early trio of works. The alien in the 2nd picture in particular looks like all the weird creatures he draws now, lol

Got my copy of Biomega vol. 2 today, and it's in perfect condition! I only need 1 more, and I have the Holy Nihei trilogy. Also, since the rare item I bought hasn't updated its tracking at all, I figured I'd show what it is in case it never comes, lol. The nihei grind never stops

So my copy of Biomega got here, and it is actually hardback, lol no clue how. The only way I can think of this being possible is if someone had the cover custom made for the book. But yeah, I now own all of Biomega ! I'll post a picture of Nihei collection soon for everyone.

Nihei made this Sanakan/Izana crossover too for the Knights of Sidonia anime, and I sorta forgot about it till now, lol.

My love for this series can not be understated. This is absolutely one of my favorite things to exist. BLAME! Prefers to speak through its art and atmosphere, creating an experience utterly unique in the genre. It's my favorite cyberpunk series

Houseki no Kuni is honestly one of the most enjoyable things I've read. Despite being incredibly busy yesterday, I was so enamored with it that I managed to read nearly half of it in one sitting, lol. The art is amazing, and phos is a unique & incredibly enjoyable main character
I probably won't be able to respond to messages and post my normal stuff until Tuesday. That being said, I have free time here to do some reading, so I'm finally trying out the series I've been requested to read the most since making my Twitter. Starting Houseki No kuni Now!

Also, why are the Biomega volume covers like the sickest thing you've ever seen. Nihei went so hard on these. As much as I love Blame, I think this series has his best cover art. Maybe the original Blame! Cover art comes close, but it just doesn't have the same clean look.
About half-way through Ergo Proxy a bit slow in the beginning but things have really gotten going and the vibe is immaculate. It has this 2000s grunge feeling that can't be replicated. Also obligatory save me mid 2000s goth anime girls, save me, lmao.

I am finally able to post my entire collection of manga, anime, and games. It's roughly 415 manga volumes, 62 blu rays, 78 dvds, and 40 vhs. Everything from Monster to Berserk to evangelion to chainsaw man I cover all genres too. Funny part is I have another 60 volumes not shown
