@Jemsinger @andrewrsorkin Who were the CEO’s of these big companies that were surprised that Trump couldn’t keep a straight thought. And are any of them publicly traded? I need some companies to short-sell….

@jonfavs Are these ppl saying Biden performed great? . I’m guessing not, in which case this is nothing like MAGA. It’s just ppl disagreeing on the likelihood of finding someone who has better odds, which means the best thing to do now is organize around Biden. They could say it nicer tho!.

@mcuban 💯 Trump left office only because Pence didn’t follow his orders. He didn’t just ask him to not certify the election. He also was actively creating a fake set of election certificates to send to Pence to certify and overturn the results.

@nhannahjones It’s also a lie. If your goal is maximum agency for these communities, then you’d ask them what they want and give it to them. And what they want is more resources for their communities, not vouchers. But that requires higher taxes to fund, which is actual objection.

@Jemsinger The history of this makes it so much worse too. R’s blocked every Obama econ proposal claiming it was about the deficit (even when they were deficit neutral). Only to immediately cut taxes for the rich which caused the deficit to spike by 70%.

@SethAbramson @HC_Richardson Sure but Biden’s team knew Trump would lie, CNN wouldn’t fact check, and it would trip up Biden. The plan should have been for Biden to state he’s lying & remind the audience this will all be fact checked. Then move on to his specific point.

@jonfavs @DataProgress The issue is swing voters (esp young ones) won't listen to a campaign ad. The Biden team should construct a decentralized Op, where they oversee dems with swing voter networks & provide talking points & tips to post on social media. I'm building this in NC.

@fred_guttenberg @BillAckman A big thing to understand is Ackman didn’t make his money by creating value for investors & sharing in that. On a $$-basis, Ackman has without question lost investors money relative to the overall US equity market. Like Trump, he’s made $ by being a very effective salesperson.

@acnewsitics Let’s lot forget he entered politics lying that he had evidence our first Black POTUS wasn’t a real American. He never provided that evidence of course & yet most Republicans believed it anyways. All it took was a white guy with a documented history of being a fraud telling them.

@brianstelter @rolandsmartin He did a surprise meet & greet at Waffle House at midnight after the debate. He then had 4 scheduled campaign events the 2 days after the debate in 3 states. He didn’t lay low. He just didn’t do what you wanted him to do, which is cancel his existing plans & talk to media.

@ErikVoorhees @SpaceX @NASA Conveniently forgetting that @NASA is @SpaceX largest customer & typically paid them upfront (interest-free loan). We should be hyping up great public-private partnerships, not lying through our teeth for political purposes.

@jonfavs This feels like a big opportunity to humanize this issue. Dems need to make Sarah more visible -- the attacks/hate against her & her courageous response. It's easy to dislike/distrust trans when you don't know one personally & you only hear about them from Libs of TikTok. .

@cwebbonline @CNN @DanaBashCNN @jaketapper There was a quote from CNN saying “unless it’s egregious.” In what world does this not qualify as egregious? . That being said, Biden’s team needed to plan for this posssibility and have him ask that exact question in real-time to apply some pressure IMO.

@AmandaMGoetz @BulletproofCPG @dcoryer Statements like this highlight that being sexist requires one to say and believe really unserious things. Like if you're an all-pro NFL kicker but your wife gets a job instead of being a stay-at-home mom, you couldn't just continue being an NFL kicker. .

@alexandr_wang @scale_AI I'm a huge DEI advocate. Nothing in your post conflicts with GOOD DEI practices, which is about ensuring orgs/teams are "casting a wide net and objectively selecting the best." . Also totally unnecessary for you to mock DEI with your new acronym. .

@KFILE Comparing this to the Steele report is both-sidesism nonsense. Steele didn't present his "dossier" as fact to the FBI/Congress. He is on record saying he believed it was "70-90%" true. Many of his allegations were confirmed as true by Mueller and NONE have been disproven.

@SethAbramson @HC_Richardson CNN stated they wouldn’t act as fact checkers unless it was egregious. The risk was known. Trump puts pressure on mods by always lying. Biden’s team should have prepped him 2 apply pressure back. Why aren’t u fact checking? Is lying about election fraud not egregious? My 2 cents.

@Carnage4Life The drop-out Biden crowd is thrilled & hopeful bc they think Kamala is the better option. The “trust Biden to decide” crowd is thrilled & hopeful bc we finally have some clarity and unity, which is needed to win. Very interesting dynamic.

@jonfavs Our policies have created the best post-COVID economy in the world. But prices are still too high, as supply chains are still recovering from the Trump's mishandling of COVID plus his trillion $ tax cut to the rich. Here's our plan to lower costs & why it's better than Trumps.

@mattyglesias I think part of it is a thought-out, deliberate response to maximize his wealth and power. I also think part of it is an emotional response to repair an injured ego from the left not liking him. Both can be viewed as “rational” responses.

@garrytan The EV $ has not been “spent.” It’s been earmarked. Same with the CHIPS Act bc it’s mostly incentives. Same with the BEAD program. This is the equivalent of saying a VC fund has spent all of its committed capital. Ambitious projects take time.

@ArlanWasHere @sequoia He’s a narcissist so in his mind, his life does depend on it. When narcissists are accurately criticized, it threatens their inflated sense of self worth. They have to dedicate everything to protect their ego. I think this drives tech/biz Trump support more than tax cuts.

@TVietor08 @jahimes @alexwagner I'm sorry but saying Biden can't win because of his approval ratings (which are the same as Trumps) isn't "hard nosed analysis." . Biden remains within the GE MoE with 10+% of voters undecided/other, a group that skews young, left & 2020 Biden voters.

@DavidSacks Trump entered politics lying that our 1st Black POTUS was a fraud & calling 4 a Muslim ban. Russia did interfere 2 help Trump. Trump knew this bc they told him. Instead of reporting this, his team spoke w/them 100+ times (shared poll data) & then he obstructed the investigation.

@ErikVoorhees @SpaceX @NASA I think you’re making this political for no reason (why else randomly throw in BIL). We need an effective govt & private sector working in sync. @levie This isn’t serious analysis. Mandatory spend will grow by $1.5trn + inflation will grow discretionary by $0.5trn. Creating a graph to cuts $3trn w/out providing any detail on how is unserious. Plus including COVID inflation years as proof that Trump tax cuts led to above.

@parkerconrad He does a great job of getting to the heart of the issue. In this case, one candidate is a reasonable and decent human being that will keep us on a path of slow & steady progress. The other is a clinical sociopath who could burn it all to the ground.

@JamesSurowiecki Also, it's not a hoax. Steele noted that it was "not established facts, but a starting point for further investigation" & many of the allegations were later corroborated by the DNI and Mueller. Mueller & Dems really blew it on Russia by letting Trump control this narrative. .

@Unibrowsers @JeremiahDJohns Vivek stepped down in Q1 2021. Per their 10-K, Roivant had raised $3.8 billion dollars and had an accumulated deficit of $1.9 billion. So yes, he built a billion $ company. But he did by selling ppl a great story that he wasn't able to fulfill. Just like Trump.

@BarbMcQuade Isn’t talking with state officials an official act and therefore any evidence from it can’t be used?. Since they didn’t rebut the dissenters example of assassinating a political rival, why should anyone view that as untrue? . Did they provide examples of an unofficial act?.

@Carnage4Life A bunch of things can be true. For example, another one is that we can challenge ourselves to better evaluate what is exciting and inspirational. Is it your appearance & ability to give a speech? Or is it getting hard things done. If it's the latter, Biden > Clinton & Obama.

@Jason @TheDemocrats It’s literally the exact opposite. They (and I’d argue this applies to you as well) expected to be praised & elevated. When the Dems didn’t fall in line for very valid reasons, they moved to the other side bc they knew it’d be easier to get R’s to fall in line.

As a husband & dad to 3 boys, it's terrifying that voters see Trump as a strong man. Biden needs to target young men who are moving to Trump. @BidenHQ @Rob_Flaherty @bhaviklathia @dellavolpe . Start w/this ? to young dads. What do you think it means to be a strong man? 👇

@eladgil What’s the chance age is skewing this significantly? When the first event is vaccination, that implies 65+ and when it’s infection, that probably implies young people, right? 65+ will have less durability AND a higher likelihood of symptomatic illness.
