Cool new gig drop here 🎙️
I'm going to be building
@Saas22Inc
—an AI-first software marketplace, along with a bunch of super cool folks! Let's go 💪💪 🚀🚀
Hey
@CRED_club
, here's an idea.💡
I'm sure a bunch of us have a ton of unused Cred coins. How about we use them on the app to contribute towards relief efforts to help those affected by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic?
This Karnataka Rajyotsava, I'm putting together a short 🧵on books about Bangalore/Bengaluru. 📚
I hope to read more about Karnataka, but for now, here's to what I love.
PS: Apologies in advance. Most of these books are under piles of unread books, so images from the internet. 😔
Did a mini heritage trail in Bengaluru earlier this morning. Here’s how it went.
Started at Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace (currently undergoing restoration for the most part)
Good folks on Twitter, I'm looking to hire an associate for my team at
@getplumhq
.
0-2 yrs exp, some prior exposure in marketing, comms, etc., & enthusiasm to break into Product Marketing is all that I need. Remote for now, in BLR later.
DMs open. RT, please? 🍺/☕️ on me.
And it finally happened. Lost a member of the family to the pandemic in Delhi.
Things are tense at home.
He didn't deserve this. No one deserves this.
Taking a break from Twitter.
Welcome home, Kid.
I have a feeling, you and I, we'll be going on a lot of fun, new adventures together 🛣️
(Also ft. the go-faster hot hatchback bits that make this 🚗 truly special and worth the wait).
Alright, bring on the waterworks 😭
After 18 months, last week marked my last day at
@getplumhq
.
While I leave with a lot of mixed feelings, one feeling that stands out is gratitude.
The new Atta Galatta in Indiranagar (the first picture) is nice and I'm so thankful that another independent bookstore is back on the scene.
That said, i can't help but miss the old one in Koramangala (the second picture), it felt cozier (but this one will grow on me 😅)
This is where my love for reading about cities began. Peter Colaco's Bangalore, illustrated by Paul Fernandes.
It began as research material for a school play for the annual day, but it ended up being so much more.
On this day, five years ago, I took my first steps into the corporate world.
Thank you,
@FreshworksInc
(back then
@freshdesk
) for placing your bets on a just-out-of-college graduate. I wouldn't be where I am today, had it not been for this. 🙌
Thank you,
@thesanerguy
and
@tanish2k
, for having me onboard
@getplumhq
! 🥳
Really excited to take on this mission of helping build the world's largest health insurance platform from India 🇮🇳 and making high-quality insurance and wellness affordable.
Let's do this! 🚀💪
Excited to have
@TejasKinger
join
@getplumhq
, to build Product Marketing function 🎉
Employee Insurance is a deeply boring subject, which means the employees don't want to read or understand their insurance till they actually need it. At Plum, we aim to make insurance fun 👀
Missed the under-one-hour 10K mark by a whisker, but happy to be back and running for the spirit of Bengaluru, fifth year in a row 💪💪 🏃♂️🏃♂️
#tcsw10k
Almost the end of the day. But, I just remembered, on this day 6 years ago, I moved to Chennai to start my career at
@FreshworksInc
. Forever grateful for that. 🌸
If you're from Karnataka but grew up in a bubble, like me, or if you're new to Karnataka and wondering why things have recently turned ugly and communal,
@janeborges9
has a wonderfully detailed primer for a Sunday afternoon read in today's
@sundaymidday
.
As my Delhi sojourn nearly comes to an end, here's the last of the bookstores that I'm hitting - Kunzum in GK. 📚
After Midland, Faqir-Chand, and Bahrisons - it's been a year of being grateful to Delhi and some of its wonderful independent bookstores.
Update: This is live on
@CRED_club
!
@kunalb11
@CRED_support
and team, thank you. 🙌
Thanks,
@Ashwin_7
for giving me a heads up.
Now to everyone who pledged their Cred Coins, go donate! I don't know if it was always in their pipeline, but I owe you all big time.
7 years at the workplace.
Eternally grateful for the wonderful teams, mentors, well-wishers, and friends that I've gotten along the way at
@FreshworksInc
,
@hiverhq
, and
@getplumhq
.
PS: Yes, I have only one photo from my time at Hiver 🙈
Before the day ends,
#TIL
the first Maruti 800 rolled off the assembly line on this day in 1983 and was delivered to a customer in New Delhi.
So to mark this day, from the archives, here's a 2005 photo of an awkward smol me with the Mothership's Maruti 800.
If you know me, you know that I'm a massive admirer of INTACH and its endeavors to protect our heritage structures.
Discovering Bengaluru by Meera Iyer is like traveling through time, taking a long, meandering walk in the footsteps of those who quite literally built this city.
After two years and three months, it is time to bid goodbye to
@hiverhq
. I'm immensely thankful for all the memories and learning. I'm not kidding when I say this, but these years of hands-on work have helped me better myself.
Kannada Rajyotsava Habbada Hardika Shubhashayagalu!
Every year, on Karnataka Rajyotsava, I share a list of books - set in/or about the beautiful city of Bangalore/Bengaluru - a place I call home 🏡
Here's to edition 2023:
I think I've been a silent spectator despite everything wrong that I witnessed during my time at Sastra because, in a strange way, I felt like I owed them a wee bit of gratitude for helping me step into the professional world.
No longer. This is vile.
8 years is a long time. And this one is going to be a particularly hard goodbye.
So, thank you for letting me cut my teeth. Thank you for never letting me down.
Still haven't gotten over the feeling. I quite literally teared up when
@mrgirish
said "I thank all employees past and present." 😭😭
So here's my miniscule part of the
@FreshworksInc
journey.
June 2014 - My campus interview by Girish
July 2019 - My last day at Freshworks
I'm honestly surprised that
@bira91
's social team hasn't capitalized on the
#BangaloreBoom
hashtag yet?
(If you're listening, do this now and maybe send me some free beer later 😋)
Back on the track after 4 years. 👟👟 Arguably one of the best road run circuits.
#TCSW10K
. Also first sub 7-minute kilometre run, a personal best (bonus: the last image from my first run 7 years ago, definitely fitter even if I don't look it).
If there's one story I love on the internet today, it is Coimbatore-based Daily Basket (
@rameshvel
) taking on BigBasket with their very clever website
It takes me back to the epic Freshdesk vs Zendesk "Rip off or not" campaign ()
Weekend Westland books haul from
@bookworm_Kris
(as always 🙂) 📚
It's a bittersweet moment; to know that you're truly lucky to have these titles on your bookshelf, but also to know that these were probably the last of their kind (sincerely hope this won't happen 🤞🏻).
When you think of tourist attractions in Bengaluru, chances are the first name that comes to your mind is Lalbagh.
But why is that? The answer lies in Bangalore's Lalbagh by Suresh Jayaram. Forever grateful to
@bookworm_Kris
for getting me an author-signed copy.
For us long-time Bangaloreans, what has always stood about Bangalore/Bengaluru is the weather and the city's relationship with nature.
Nature in the city by Harini Nagendra dives deep into this relationship and explores how it has changed with time and how to preserve it.
For someone who has only a rudimentary coding background, but a good understanding of tech, no-code platforms are a blessing.
Here's a great read: Can You Join Hackathons If You're Non-Technical?
@ProductHunt
😺
I've loved writing
@getplumhq
's newsletters for 11 editions now.
But this one was extra special—it talked about brand refresh, Humanise, Mending, and then some.
If you're not on Plum but still want to read it, reply to this Tweet, and I'll send you a copy.
Completed a year at
@getplumhq
today 🎂
I'm immensely overwhelmed by the learning and support I've received this year.
With a little help from
@Ganapathi_97
, here's my attempt at encapsulating this transformative journey.

The iPod turns 20 this weekend. 🎂
Here's to my OG 2GB iPod Nano - snuck it away from home everyday, hid it in a special compartment in my school bag, borrowed a headphone splitter from a friend to share the music.
Memories. 😅
It pains me to write this.💔
After a long-fought battle, we lost Tushar yesterday.
My heart goes out to
@LakshiBhatia
, Rupakshi, and the entire family. I can't begin to imagine what you must be going through.
Go well, brother. You will be missed dearly.
#Delhi
this one is urgent. This is for my brother with Down Syndrome.
