@Patrick49012564 @DavidLBrownMD my understanding of the pathophys is that with stable slowly developing blockages typically the body has had time to develop collateral circulation so stenting the main lesion just makes the pictures look better.

@justintrimble @RhythmHelp @altcap if they’re asymptomatic they’ve probably developed collateral circulation over time. Placing a stent only makes the pictures look better. Stents are mainly effective when you’re having an active coronary event with acute clot formation
