Stockfish 15.1 is out! As well as elo gains above 15 (especially in Fischer Random / C960) the most salient feature is the new evaluation scheme. +1 now equates to a 50% chance of winning the game against an equal strength opponent! You can get it now from

Nepo and Magnus following... an engine game between Stockfish and Koivisto 7.9 I was running from move 6 😂 12. d4 a4 13. Bxe7 Qxe7 14. Nc5 e5 15. Re1 Rd8 16. b4 was the course of the game. Ok for Black in principle, but lots of challenging decisions to make.

The engine patented Nxc6 exchange in the Sicilian. As a child I learnt that this was always bad: opens the b-file for counterplay and strengthens the ...d5 central break, but the engines regularly make a convincing case for White!

One of those endings that I would intuitively assess as winning for White! But Stockfish says 0.00 and I never argue with aquatic life when it comes to endings! Stockfish looking at 2 billion positions with 12.2 million tablebase hits😱
