First time having a person come and talk to me about my mask. He came up to me from being and said, ‘you know, Covid is over’. My response, ‘not for me, I’m immune compromised.’ Him, ‘nope, it’s over for everyone.’ ….. /

People think Covid cautious people are scared. Strangely, I’m not scared. I wear my n95 when in public and go about my day. I feel about it the way I feel about driving. Put on seatbelt and drive. I don’t think about traffic accidents. I might get Covid but I did all I could do.

Who is behind the push to get rid of masking in medical settings? It appears we are seeing planned, coordinated dissemination of buzz phases and a media push for this change. Who is the sting puller and what is the motivation?

What is a ‘zero Covid extremist’? A high risk person who doesn’t want to get Covid? A person disabled by long Covid struggling to survive? A person who cares about others and doesn’t want to contribute to endangering high risk or causing long Covid in themselves or others?

I replied, ‘I’m missing part of my immune system’ and he started to reply and I said, ‘and it isn’t any of your business’. That got through and he shut up. His kid was with him, which I realized after I told him it wasn’t his business. It did rattle me a bit.

Pharmacist was scared my son and I had Covid because we put on masks to go through the pharmacy drive through. She was unmasked and in a nervous voice asked, ‘do you have…, are you sick with?’ And we told her no but she kept the window closed and used the draw. Ironic.

@makeupartist524 I’m immune compromised and pre Covid personal risk was much lower than it is now. I didn’t have to mask before Covid Andy doctors never suggested to then. Like you I will always mask in public for even a cold even if I don’t have to make due to Covid in the future

@LaTriSarahtops @janetrosenbaum No that isn’t what happens. What you see publically is what happens in schools. For example, as soon as the cdc changed quarantine from 10 to 5 days we had staff and students back at school symptomatic but improving on day 6, still contagious and spreading

I’m shocked he would block me, a long time follower of his page and supporter of his work. I thought of him as someone who was advocating for the safety of people like me but he is just another eugenicist pushing ableist Covid minimizer who silences those at high risk.

@fitterhappierAJ Your posts don’t cause me free or terror. Those who gaslight, lie, minimize are the ones who scare and depress me.

@ImmunologyAAI Do you not learn that long cover is a risk to us all, that occur spreads via aerosolized clouds of viral particles that spread throughout indoor spaces and hang it the air for hours? Why do you feel this is safe for any of you? I can’t understand esp given your profession

@rileyraygriffin Regular people don't get a second course of paxlovid. He should not have said this is post pandemic. He should not have agreed with cutting quarantine from 10-5 days, cutting contact tracing in schools, dropping indoor mask mandates in schools, etc.

@CDCDirector Tell Biden he might lose the election because the polling company that told you all to ditch masks and declare victory over Covid forgot to poll the high risk and caring people. We are not impressed with your causing mass preventable deaths. He is losing a lot of votes with this

@CDCDirector @WhiteHouse @CDCgov Imagine you could time travel and tell your young self how you sold out to political pressure and let a pandemic kill over 700000 Americans while you were in charge of the cdc, trading lives for whatever it is you get out of this. Imagine how she would feel you were horrible

All the reasons I heard people give for not masking in medical facilities are really lacking in facts, human compassion, knowledge of how Covid spreads and how masks work or don’t work. Not one good reason so far.

@dianaberrent @inducekarmaaa @michaelmina_lab You sound more like Leanna Wen than yourself. I’m high risk and this view of make your own risk assessment is what led my workplace to become increasingly high risk as everyone stopped masking and quarantining etc.

@ImmunologyAAI At the very least you should wear for tested n95 masks at work because your patients should not have to risk getting C19 to get medical treatment
