While indulging in the topic of neighborhood architecture I went by our prior house on N Bissell St. The block isn’t landmarked, no real protections from developers, & a lot of college renters. IMHO one of the prettiest in Lincoln Park.

Worth appreciating what Richard Driehaus left Chicago w/ architecture. The Driehaus Museum (in Samuel Nickerson House c1883) & his investment firm based in the Cable House c1886 by Cobb & Frost. The coach house (offices now) is magnificent.

The restoration progress of 2114 N Lincoln Ave (c1881) is quite nice. Last sold in 2015 when it was in *very* rough shape. Used briefly in the movie ‘U.S. Marshals” (2008). A great example of saving a home in Lincoln Park. (Photos from today)
