Our latest issue, ‘Civil War Without Guns,’ is out soon. Arthur Scargill, Seumas Milne, David Peace and more explore the social fabric that fought and sustained the miners’ strike, what we lost in defeat, and how we rebuild. Full year of print for £10:

really hate that the manner of Kirsty MacColl’s death, 22 yrs today, has become a recurring twitter gag. One of Mexico’s richest families speed thru restricted waters, pay a kid to take the rap & rig the system. Jean MacColl dies fighting for the truth about her daughter. Awful.

Gorilla and Deaf - 600 cap, 260 cap - aren't just crucial for Manchester but touring acts more generally and I've no idea what fills that gap, or quite how big a gap we'll have by the end of this. Horrific for those who have lost their jobs after months of stress and uncertainty.
