iOS 12.1.2 is a 16C build, while the beta was a 16D build. Looks like Apple rushed out the release with emergency fixes/updates and will push back the original 12.1.2 to a 12.1.3 release.
This is a weird rumor, but it’s about the only explanation I can come up with that possibly explains why subtracting 74 vertical pixels from the display resolutions we discovered yields a perfect 16:10 ratio for both screen sizes.

news articles in my spare time. Little did I know that just a few months later it would become a job, and 13 years after that, it’s clearly a career.
Ten years ago today, I woke up crazy early on a holiday to start my first day as the first full-time writer at MacRumors. What a ride it’s been as an entire decade has flown by. Thanks

But their suggestion to set it up by signing out of iCloud on your phone is pretty nuts. That’s a painful process to go through when your phone starts trying to delete all of your synced iCloud content.
Gonna keep complaining about the pile of crap that is Safari 15 for Mac. When you restart it and it reopens your tabs, it opens ones you closed hours ago instead of the ones you actually had open when you quit the app.

Think it’s the difference between the 38/42 and 40/44 mm generations. Luxo has larger display to body ratio ni those images, and the side buttons are flush on recent models while they protruded a little on older ones.
Started reading MacRumors almost 19 years ago when I was looking to buy an iBook and wanted to make sure a new model wasn’t imminent. Never imagined then that it would become my career.

They don’t have your credit card. You send them like $20, and that’s all they can spend. And you can even cut them off from that.
Don’t really understand the uproar over Apple potentially not including an adapter with new iPhones. I’ve got a drawer full of them that I never use. If you need one, you can buy one, including a third-party one that fits your needs.

Apple’s self-repair program partner appears to be a no-name company by the name of SPOT (Service Parts or Tools). Domain registration indicates it’s owned by CTDI.

We also got option 3. "You can also charge both if you attach your MagSafe Battery Pack to your iPhone, then plug your iPhone into a power source."
Apple Watch received, and as feared, braided loop is a bit too big. Don’t love the band design either. Hard to get on and off the wrist, and looks a little janky where the yarn meets the watch casing. Do love the blue watch though.
Not content with going after Apple, Epic is now coming after my neighborhood, planning to turn what should be a gateway development for my town into its own private compound. Awful proposal that flies in the face of years of planning for the area.

, the auto giant Hyundai says:
“We understand that Apple is in discussion with a variety of global automakers, including Hyundai Motor.
As the discussion is at its early stage, nothing has been decided.”
Canceled my Apple News+ trial before they started charging me tomorrow. Not enough content of interest to me, and the whole user experience is just mind-bogglingly bad. Here’s hoping they get it figured out at some point.
Crazy…the new AirPods had been sitting in boxes for months waiting for AirPower, but Apple finally gave up and opted to just push them out on their own.
Pretty impressed by the iCloud postmaster team. Our newsletter emails sent to people with iCloud/Me/Mac addresses were getting blocked by Apple, so I sent them an email with details, and 8 hours later the issue was fixed. Fully expected the help address to be a black hole.
I just ran into this issue today.

requires an occupation when requesting a credit line increase, but the list of jobs is insane and there’s no "other" option.

Please get the “you’ve won a prize” comment scammer/impersonator bots under control. Automatically detecting an account spamming identical comments every few seconds shouldn’t be rocket science. Instead, I’m in there multiple times a day cleaning up messes.
So proud of my wife Laura, whose dream of swimming the English Channel is finally coming true today. She’s making terrific progress on an absolutely beautiful day.
Somebody mistakenly added my phone number to their Apple online store account and now I’m getting their order status texts…8 texts for 4 different orders over the past week. Apple says there’s nothing they can do to help me.
Warren Buffett broke the stock market…at over $430,000, BRK.A’s share price exceeded the 32-bit limit many computers use to store stock prices and it wrapped around.
