@thesurgerylife @_backtable Yep, frequently. Only times I don’t are when I can’t (IJVs occluded) or if I suspect a critical stenosis of the cephalic arch. And it if you have to leave behind an HD catheter, you’ve already gotten access for such.
Love doing fistulograms via internal jugular venous access. Chip shot ⛳️ for focal 🎈 angioplasty, no need for purse-string suture, EBL < 1 cc. #IRad #ThinkJugular #Nephrology

Flush saline while withdrawing, keeps the wire in position, especially hydrophilic ones.
