Wearing a mask to keep patients safe is just so so hard. Working all day, impossible to have 🤩. I have actually haven’t been sick, tested positive or missed work in 10 years. But I could still pass it on. My patients are way more vulnerable than me.

My brother-in-law got a ping. Someone tested positive for COVID on his Toronto film crew. They still test EVERY DAY. When we went to work there were no tests ever, no available RATs for 2 years or at-work PCR testing. Their union negotiated extra sick days.

I am in Denmark. Same population as BC. All public insured. If you cannot get a procedure done in four weeks in a public hospital, it immediately goes to the private hospital. There are 20 and they are free. Cancer treatment is two weeks from diagnosis. I politician fail.

For the first 19 months of the pandemic at Victoria General we had only a few Covid cases. Work was almost normal. Masking, Respectful population. Then 95% vaxxed. This is omicron and lifting of masking. No testing. No GP’s. Be kind to the amazing staff who are run off their feet

In BC, I bill the same fee codes in my 50% hospital/50% office practice. Only difference is at hospital I keep 100%. Office I pay overhead. A good incentive to work in hospital. However, there are no primary care clinics in the hospital, so FP do other hospital work.

I’m 53 years old my biological age is 53 years old. I take no supplements. Most of my colleagues who are 41 are quite healthy without supplements. I take a blood test every year and a half for my insurance needs. Eating food and sweets and coffee make me happy.
I take more than 40 supplements a day.

When Island Health was allowed to dictate care it was amazing. We had no COVID at Victoria General for 18 months (2 cases transferred) It was the safest place to be due to excellent local leadership. Then they took away precautions at the provincial level.
