@JakeBequette91
The House was overwhelmingly Democratic during his presidency. And the senate was only controlled by the republicans for two years of his presidency.
@neal_katyal
I understand being appreciative of the opportunity to argue before the Court. And everyone is entitled to representation. But given the side you’re arguing this tweet feels a little tone deaf.
@DaliessioVince
From one Eagle Scout to another. Congratulations. Not only are you part of an elite fraternity (less than 2% of BS make Eagle) but you helped improve your community.
@ChrisMurphyCT
Senator, in your home state of Connecticut this person would be able to own a gun without the need for this decision. Connecticut has legalized marijuana and cleared the records of all past marijuana convictions.
@Cernovich
I’m not sure this is right. Gym bro’s that use PED’s: yes. But Arthur Jones argued against endurance sports and in favor of intense weight lifting. And he rightfully predicted all the damage caused by endurance exercise. Think of all the knee and hip replacements! He was right
@Jordan_S_Rubin
could not agree more. It’s 2023. even if you don’t support cameras in the courtroom (I do), it’s hard to justify the “need” to wait until October to release the audio.
Sotomayor and Thomas both spoke from the bench about affirmative action. The country can’t hear their words for months — there’s no good reason for that.
@AJA_Cortes
Yes. Also the lat pullover is the single greatest machine ever invented. The only machine to allow the lats to be exhausted without the biceps preexhausting.

1. This judge ruled that certain special education students should not receive a public education 2. Then this judge wrote an op Ed defending himself 3. He lies in his book about what occurred in the school funding trial. I know. I was a lawyer in the case.

Also relevant: the game was at Glastonbury and they were defending state champs. The most significant win in SHS football history.
@IlyaSomin
“over 80% of the public opposed the ruling, and 45 states enacted eminent domain reform laws in reaction to it.” Astounding really. Yet the media never mentions this case when it talks about the supposed diminishing public support for the Supreme Court
@ishapiro
I certainly agree they should be familiar with the Constitution. But isn’t this a LITTLE like memorizing dates in history class? In the sense that it’s something you can always look up? If she becomes a judge she can certainly look up the contents of these Articles.

JJ was an integral part of the 1991 team that went 9-2 and finished as co-CCC West Champions, the first of four CCC West Championships in a row. RIP.
@kennymxu
This isn’t directly on topic for your point. But isn’t it also strange to lump such a diverse group of countries and cultures together under the term “Asians”?
@jeffjacobs123
Over 25 years ago Mr. Canfield wrote a great piece on my Eagle Scout project: a sign adorning the Simsbury High School football field detailing the various championship seasons. He appreciated the history of high school sports. He will he missed.
“raise the minimum age to purchase a semiautomatic rifle from 18 to 21, the same threshold as handguns.” Earlier this month a federal judge in Virginia ruled it was unconstitutional to restrict the sale of HANDGUNS to 18-20 year olds.
“….municipalities with a record of voter discrimination to receive clearance from either the secretary of the state or a superior court before implementing changes to election-related policies.”
Which CT municipalities have been discriminating against voters???

“If a few hundred Jewish fighters in the Warsaw Ghetto could hold off the Wehrmacht for almost a month with only a handful of weapons, six million Jews armed with rifles could not so easily have been herded into cattle cars.” -Judge Alex Kozinski (son of Holocaust survivors)
Judicial independence is the cornerstone of a free republic. The constitution provides for lifetime appointments and no reduction of judicial salaries by the elected branches to advance this principle. Calling the Supreme Court “pretty illegitimate” is concerning. 1/2

Ms Dean is right and has an important voice on this! The whole “I’m Italian” as an excuse for sexual harassment is sensational and ridiculous. But the nursing home issue is far more important.

This is not criticism, just my opinion. But

There were some really cool parts of this episode.
@QWeekChris
story about Seinfeld alone made it worth it. Also, the ‘64/‘65 Yankees story. Keep the episodes coming!
Seems newsworthy here in CT that only 86 members of the US House (20%) voted against condemning socialism and all 5 members of the CT delegation voted no.
@JeffDLowe
Well it doesn’t seem like the US audience has been over saturated with football. In fact it seems like the demand for it is far more elastic. I would think there’s an appetite for more pro football.

I like the Manfred Mann version. But it’s completely different. And the original is outstanding and doesn’t get nearly enough respect.
