Hark the herald angels sing Robin Swan is doing the right thing Wash your hands and stay strong Sammy is really quite wrong. Altogether - 1, 2, 3………
East Antrim needs a new MP
Some of my posters have being going up in Larne Lough DEA.
I wish posters were outlawed - I hate them! (when the assembly is back up I’d like to push for them to be stopped).
In the meantime I will promise to reuse + recycle mine and I’ll be careful to pick up all zip wires
Delighted that we finally have a plaque to commemorate the innocent women ( and one man) of the Islandmagee Witch Trials of 1711 ( the last mass witchtrial in Ireland ). Huge thanks to
@DevlinMartina
who spearheaded this ( alongside Cllr John Matthews) back in 2015.
I’m delighted that the memorial to commemorate the Islandmagee witch trials of 1711 (the last witch trials in Ireland) is finally being progressed after being agreed back in 2015 by the then larne borough council. Big thanks to
@DevlinMartina
for your guidance then and now.
This is my local park. We are slowly shifting away from ‘neat and tidy’ to this beautiful approach - letting areas grow, mowing less and rewilding. I’ve been delighted to play a small part in the change. More of this please!
Himself would be an amazing MP. Hardworking, kind and honourable to the core. He would be a breath of fresh air representing East Antrim in parliament.
Just outside Carnlough - an area that is outstandingly beautiful. - and see rubbish thrown alongside the road. Why do people do this?- This makes me so angry.
Absolutely love our
@wearemadlug
bags. Fantastic bags designed and made in NI, and with every bag purchased a pack away travel bag is given to a child in care. Can’t recommend highly enough
Sammy is the reason
@DannyDonnelly1
is in politics. I used to watch Danny get angry listening to the news on the radio. Now he’s standing up and taking a stand. If you’re angry and want a positive change for all our children’s futures - vote Danny Donnelly.
Officially nominated to stand for a seat in Larne Lough in Mid and East Antrim council for the Alliance Party of Northern Ireland on May 18th.

we dipped in the sea in support of No Gas Caverns.
Browns bay is so beautiful and would be ruined if these Gas caverns go ahead.
The Judicial review is happening shortly and all monies donated are helping to support the campaign
JOIN US FOR A DIP IN THE IRSH SEA

Flymo Donnelly.
Arrived at our garage 2 years ago.
He was full of fleas, scrappy and un-neutered. He’s doing well now.
He thinks he’s the Boss.
We love him.
I love using the
@LibrariesNI
app - so easy to use! You can listen to audiobooks / reserve books / access ebooks. Absolutely fantastic free service 🙌

love your local library ❤️
My ‘wild bit’ in the garden.
4 years ago we left this portion of the garden to its own devices.
I planted some yellow rattle and a few apple trees and left it alone.
I love how it has evolved over the years.
"the price people are paying for caring...is a life defined by debt, desperation and despair, and while they told us that they feel humiliated by the poverty they’re living in, it is the rest of society that should be ashamed of abandoning them to such severe levels of hardship."
The idea of cutting nursery spaces in SEN is unthinkable. It’s a vital resource where children first access new therapies and integrate with others for the first time. It’s too valuable to lose.
This is my severely disabled daughter Lilia when she was age 4 & in pre-school.
It is little shoulders like these, those of our most severely disabled children, that are expected to bear the weight & brunt of the latest education cuts due to political failure & disfunction here.
I’ve been teaching Makaton in the community for a while now and this visual explains (better than I can ) why it’s so fundamental that none is left out

@BrodHiggins
Penny Donnelly.
Rescued at 1 and a half. Now 12 years old.
Knocked down last year and survived, thanks to Gleno Vets.
A Queen.
I adore her
Every year they read the names from ‘Lost Lives’. One reader told us “it’s the most important day of the year for us …”. It’s means so much to hear their names read with such reverence
I’m delighted that the pelican crossing that I requested on the Roddens is nearly finished. It will help greatly with our students in Roddensvale to cross over the road ( to access Dixon park)
It should also help to slow down traffic on that busy road
This year I’ve bought only 2 new items of clothing ( one a dress for first council meeting ). Everything else is eBay / secondhand/ charity shop. I believe there’s no need to buy ‘new’. There’s enough ‘stuff’ already out there. Except from ‘stuff happens’ by Emma Glesson
Danny and I ran/ walked the fun run in aid of Target Ovarian Cancer thus morning at Stormont. It’s so important to know the first signs of Ovarian Cancer.
Think BEAT - Bloating/ Eating/ Abdominal/ Toilet.
I breastfed both my children ( now teens) . The first I fed till he was 2. I’m a huge advocate for the benefits of breastfeeding. Good for baby - good for mum- good for the environment 🙌
Brilliant piece in today's
@BelTel
about why events like
@BreastivalNI
are so important by helping to normalise
#breastfeeding
in NI and by providing support for breastfeeding mothers.

Delighted to say that the third round of the Cloth Nappy Scheme is opening for new submissions on Monday 29th August.( I used cloth nappies with my first child,16 years ago) I would have loved this scheme ❤️

Bought a swift box. Swifts are on the decline and ( according to the RSPB) are on the red list. Such an amazing bird - hopefully next year we’ll have nesting birds
Picking up rubbish on my run. Hate litter so much. I would have been mortified if
@TimmyMallett
saw it when he comes down the coast road.

For anyone interested in learning more about the last Witchtrial in Ireland - Islandmagee 1711 - this is worth a listen!
@DevlinMartina
speaks at the beginning of programme
Got ‘my name on a grain of rice’ at the InShop 30ish years ago. Does anyone else remember this as a thing? I came all the way up from Newry on the bus to get it done ( and go to American Madness!)
At the Boots on the Beach event today in Islandmagee with local environmental activists to show our solidarity with the local community, to demand protection for our coastal waters and wildlife and to remind the government that we are in a climate crisis.

Love the graveyard down home.There’s a gravestone built into the wall at the entrance gate. The man had a peg leg and was scared he wouldn’t make it out fast enough (on the day of redemption) so he asked to buried in the wall, so he’d be first out. Died 1879 aged 89.

Hybrid helps those with caring responsibilities can still fully take part and also means those with mobility / accessibility issues are included. Hybrid meetings have been a positive move. To take them away is regressive at best
None of our national parks are wild enough to withstand the shocks of the extinction and climate crises.
Tell the UK Government and devolved administrations to mandate

- the money was coming from the Home Office ( not local government)
- every other council voted for this proposal
- the money was to be used to help integration
Proof if ever there was, that council elections are crucial to our image and well-being. This isn’t just bins and cemetery maintenance, these are human beings, shunned by so called Christians. My constituency is an embarrassing backwater. Vote these dinosaurs out.
Is this a scam? Text from mobile no with link to (what looks like ) Royal Mail. I started to fill in details this morning when half asleep, before thinking- how could Royal Mail have my phone number?. It asked for my DOB and mother’s maiden name. I didn’t proceed. Am I right?
I’ll never forget getting caught in a Rip tide and being swept out. It was terrifying!. Since then I’ve been ultra careful and never take for granted the power of the sea. I’m posting this to show what a rip looks like and what to do if you’re caught in it. Hope it helps
Just saw a young person get into trouble in the sea.. on a wee board, ended up out too far. They are safe now but please please be so careful when you’re in the sea, things can go tits up so quickly.
So delighted that we’ve begun an orchard in Town Park ( fruit bushes/ apple trees/ plum trees) It will be a source of food for people and wildlife using the park.
Big love to Vanessa (council) and Lynsey Poole for bringing it all together.
We broke a sweat digging those holes🥰
@MoneySavingExp
We got married 16 years ago at city hall . Friends and family helped us keep costs down. My dress was simple. My friends did my makeup, hair and photos. I put flowers in my own hair. We had a party in the evening. I wouldn’t change a thing.

This wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our volunteers - canvassing/ leafleting etc .
We have such an amazing team.
I am so thankful🙏
standard trees ( 3 Alder 1 Lime 2 Acer and 2 purple beech ) newly planted at the clearing in larne Town park *replacing those that were cutback last year 🌳.
