18 years of selfies and of utter love for this guy. I’ll never forget how we prayed he’d survive the first few days, then the first few wks, then to get through his open heart surgery at 14wks old. He’s taught me so much and we adore the bones of him. What a joy to celebrate 18!

Been called the ‘Privileged Elite’ for bringing my 9 week old daughter to a meeting. MLAs are not eligible for maternity leave. On the days my husband can’t care for her, I either don’t go to meetings or I bring her with me. She can’t just be left with other ppl -she’s 9 wks old!

Mo Mowlam always stood out as a lady of integrity, grit, humour and no-nonsense. I don’t think we’ve had a SofS of her calibre since. An often forgotten architect of the GFA, her love for this place and the people was obvious to all. 15 years and her legacy still lives on.

This is brilliant. Children are hearing adults talk about this, they’re seeing their families lockdown, they mightn’t be able to see grandparents for a while. Acknowledgment of their genuine worries is so positive, what a way to foster further political engagement as they grow.
In Norway, Prime Minister Erna Solberg just held a press conference specifically for children.
For half an hour, she and her team answered questions submitted by kids across the country.
She told them it was normal to be scared but that everything would be okay.

I have had depression/anxiety on and off since teens.
Had post natal anxiety and depression with my first son. Therapy and medication saved me.
Currently on Citalipram proactively given pandemic and last PNA being triggered by germs.
Normalise talking about mental health.
I have lived with depression and anxiety for 18 years.
I struggle with self worth, being enough. I have periods of suicidal ideation. My moods are hugely affected by hormonal fluctuations.
I take Venlafaxine & have benefitted from therapy.

13 birthdays ago, I wasn’t in a good state of mind, dealing with poor mental health. I’d never have thought I’d spend a birthday surrounded by colleagues I love, driving home to beautiful Ballycastle to excited, sloppy kisses from 3 wonderful children. Grateful doesn’t sum it up.

Once again hearing DUP and Gavin Robinson referring to North Antrim ‘losing a Unionist seat’ and it disappoints me. No seat belongs to any political party or ideology. The people of north Antrim are the only ones with ownership and control of who represents them.

I was diagnosed at 13 - but only because my mum was a nurse and had read extensively about how ADHD presents differently in girls. I’ve had constituents in my office whose lives are in turmoil waiting for an adult diagnosis. This is so urgently needed. Thank you

My lockdown’s been pretty strict (partly due to postnatal anxiety) so tonight was the first night since the start of March I’ve been outside my own home and it was worth the wait to have an outside dinner party with mum and her best friend. Enjoy the bank holiday and stay safe :)
