Guy, I experienced this. We would shop for the semester on Asos. 50k would get you a new casual wardrobe. I say this every time, the Nigerian middle-class experience was wiped out in a year.
I told a Gen Z that 60k was £240 at some point and ASOS did free delivery within 2 weeks to Lagos for orders above £20.

If you want to do hardcore engineering stuff like using optimisation models to allocate cloud resources, also ignore the quotes.
Get good grades and get a masters.
