I've worked in urban districts nearly my whole career: Orlando, Dallas, OKC, and Chicago. The "intergenerational effects of civic trauma" are *jarring* here. The blatant and constant disrespect from CPS towards the communities it serves is *overwhelming.* Chicago is incomparable.

y'know what would make much more sense? instead of pk-8, 9-12 in CPS, do pk-6, 7-12. underutilized HS buildings grow, middle school teachers get the prep time and schedule they deserve, students aren't in silent bathroom lines and then thrust into HS freedoms they're not used to!
