Hi,
@cbschicago
- did you interview any Jewish students? One of

Northwestern’s president, Michael Schill, made it clear today that Jewish students are not protected from antisemitism at Northwestern. And he has no intention of changing that fact. It’s time for new leadership at NU
@NorthwesternU
Friends on campus
@NorthwesternU
tell me protestors have chanted, “Khaybar, Khaybar, Jews, Mohammed is coming.” SJP and other activist groups continue to post calls for outsiders to gather on campus to physically resist police. Administration does nothing.

Pretty sure the video actually shows Professor Steven Thrasher resisting arrest and arguably pushing police but I guess
@NorthwesternU
has to keep investigating because of “due process”
@Columbia
’s behavior this past week, from suspensions, to attempted evictions, to hiring PI’s to spy on students, is disgraceful. We stand by our students and fellow workers, and we refuse to be intimidated by the bosses due to our support for Palestinian liberation.
@sarahslavin
@NorthwesternU
It’s so sad that the students don’t have more agency or confidence to push back. Also sad if they don’t care enough to do so.

students can hear the chants from inside, and many students in other buildings report that the noise interfered with instruction. Also, professors have moved classes *to the encampment*
People who are conflicted, disagree or feeling uncomfortable about views expressed by these protesters can avoid being near the area & are free to express their views anywhere, including in spaces where others agree or disagree with them. Most classrooms aren’t nearby.

Those cops were brutal to me. I promise I did absolutely nothing wrong. I was standing with a line of women faculty in the their 60s to 80s trying to protect our students. I have now been banned from the campus where I have taught for 34 years.

These are civil rights violations. This is not “peaceful protest” and the protestors do not have First Amendment rights to do this. Shame on all progressives making excuses for this behavior.

The key is the “most” in the question. The task is to choose from the best among the answer choices, not to find an objectively correct answer.

Actually what sucks is the civic ignorance on display by a legislator. Also: the attorney next to him (Jinan Chehade) who is straight up lying about the law.

NEW: The student editors of the Columbia Law Review have issued a statement urging the law school to cancel exams in the wake of the police operation that cleared the university's encampment, saying the "violence" has left them "irrevocably shaken" and "unable to focus."🧵
Seems video of an interaction has surfaced where a woman runs towards demonstrators with a camera saying “look at these terrorists.” This is certainly anti-climactic.

GSU-UE at MIT recently settled an unfair labor practice charge before the NLRB because it falsely told grad students that they were required to sign dues check off forms, and because it didn't tell students their legal rights to refrain from joining the union or paying full dues.

Awarding more points to job applicants based on race is illegal. So
@UWPsychology
uses “DEI work” as a race proxy in hiring. A candidate can “contribut[e] to diversity” merely by *being diverse,* thereby earning more points than applicants who actually mentor diverse students.
A University of Washington handbook obtained by the National Association of Scholars spells out how to exclude candidates of undesirable races and ensure that candidates of preferred races get hired. via Anita Kinney & Anthony Pericolo
Glad to see others paying attention to Professor Steven Thrasher. Amazing that he continues to claim that the criticism he’s received is for advocating for BDS, and not for constantly comparing Jews to Nazis.

also, 50k and 70k is the difference between a life of indebtedness and a living wage for many people, and I still maintain that if more people knew that some library jobs pay 70k at the entry level, that they'd consider library school.
