@dgurdasani1 My view is that it is not just about the numbers, but that every child that dies is someone's son/daughter, brother/sister, and if it was your child that had died of a preventable illness? I sometimes wonder if some of these people have children, and if so, I pity those kids.

@BFujer no, can be used for lots of things. excellent way to cook a whole chicken. don't get crispy skin, but meat just falls of the bones, and stays moist. Also good for mulled wine/Glühwein as keeps it warm.

@theAliceRoberts I wonder if it includes role playing. Many years ago, whist working at an MRC unit, we found ourselves piloting a role play exercise. Herding cats is nowt compared to a bunch of scientists doing this. "So am I responding as myself or as my character?" The organisers gave up.

@prodnose No,because most of those events involved people travelling into the area, and then taking the virus back to their home area. This will dissipate any spikes, but will lead to increased infections. As infection operates exponentially, it can take time, but once it starts. Leicester

India apparently diluted the COP26 agreement on the subject of coal-use, on the grounds they are a "poor" country. They have nuclear weapons - poor countries don't. This is spending money in all the wrong places, like father with a starving family, but a Ferrari on the drive.
