I started with a Latin dance loop in the studio, recorded trumpet riffs, and chopped them into keyboard segments. To give the track an edgy vibe, I switched the chords to minor. Finally, I sampled a vocal from

Amazing thanks - I love that breakfiller too, I wanted it to sound calm, the modern musical equivalent of the BBC's old Radio announcement "This is London" "London Calling" - the BBC beaming out across the world. I put it together fairly quickly in a studio session with the BBC

Hi Rusty - i originally meant it to be in the same key as the radio GTS pips which is actually B - for some reason i never got round to checking before starting in B flat! - a pretty close guess though and its a lovely key for this

Hi Snowy - the original version is pretty much two sections repeated and sounds amazing - i repeated them to get to 10 minutes - adding different world music sounds and instruments to each section
