if you waste your time talking to the people who don't listen to the things that you are saying, who do you think's gonna hear?

No no, we read the thread, and we have eyes-you're doing all the attacking in it. Your target was simply lamenting the state of affairs.
@antifemwife Sis you're resorting to ad hominem attacks because you have nothing else to say. I'd tell you to stop being stupid, but you can't expect better from some people.

@Angry_Staffer "Liberty" was always kind of a dumb name. Fully support bases being named after service exemplary like young Roland Bragg.

He said to the police that he didn't mean to kill Neely. Not sure what you want from him-but your solution of "just ignore him." Doesn't work.
@catpoopburglar @nkulw Okay, call the police then, or restrain him in a way that doesnโt kill him. My first instinct wouldnโt be to kill the guy.

Lots of truth here. What the local yokel thinks of as quaint and depressing is an untapped paradise, lacking only modern niceties to unlock its "potential."
This is one of the most fascinating interactions I've ever seen in the Massena, NY group on FB. A guy from literal paradise says tourism and "loss of identity" caused Aruba to decline -- and that Massena "reminds him of Aruba in the past." Local kid says "bro, Massena sucks." Weirdly, it seems like both of them are right. The Massena local hasn't taken the long strange trip that an Aruba native has in the last 50 years -- but if he did, he might actually pine for the days when Massena "sucked." Before the condos, the hordes of tourists, the loss of identity. Before he wished he could live somewhere nicer, like Aruba. I seriously suspect that a lot of places that are considered to be "shitholes" today will be remembered very nostalgically in 50 years.
