Here's a little trivia about the F.B.I. you may not know from watching tv. When the F.B.I. conducts a search, the first persons through the door--after SWAT, if needed--is the Evidence Response Team (ERT). Think CSI. Their 1st job is to photograph the entire location.

Grand jury evidence is always made public at trial. In the absence of a trial or charges, a Federal judge can order the FGJ proceedings to be unsealed. The purpose of the 6E rule is to protect the FGJ from interference while in progress, not to shield or protect the subject.

This is why we need new legislation guaranteeing a 10-year-term for the Director, FBI. The Director should not be removed just on the whim of the POTUS. Their forced removal needs to be tied to gross malfeasance, corruption, or criminal conduct.

I’ve been working on crisis/emergency response and homeland security for over 30 years and never, NEVER, have I seen a more f***ed up response to a crisis than this one. Perhaps the POTUS and his staff should consider taking the FEMA courses on the incident command system (ICS)

...I am reminded of that little old Dutch woman, who was but a child herself in 1944. She said, it was up to us, the F.B.I. and police executives attending that seminar to prevent local police from ever being used in this manner again. Yesterday, her warnings became reality. 5/5

FBI Bomb techs and Evidence Response Team (ERT) members from across the country are right now being called to respond. I will continue to provide background and insight into the manner in which the F.B.I. conducts these types of investigations. For example:

Bizarre thing with liberal journalists and activists saying you can't blame a cop after his inaction allows a killer to commit a mass murder. What exactly is wrong with you people?

@SkinnerPm This has been the most challenging two weeks in my lifetime. I joined the LAPD at age 21, which led to a lifetime career in law enforcement. Most cops are good people. But the brutality that I have witnessed by police, whose job is “to protect and serve,” is heartbreaking.

@cestlah @NBCNews If true, this is a gross external manipulation of an FBI investigation. Background investigations almost always generate additional leads based on authorized interviews. To restrict follow-up investigation is to attempt to control the outcome and results.

I can’t help but think about all the F.B.I. agents who were called in this weekend to work 24/7 surveillance on known or suspected IRGC agents in the U.S., all because the POTUS decided teach a lesson to Iran, with no thought of the unintended consequences that would result. #Sad

I have a theory that the ratio of police violence or brutality is directly proportional to the public’s ability to identify that officer in film and photographs. An anonymous officer is more likely to use excessive force than an identifiable officer. 2/n

When you take off a helmet and mask and add a large name tag you demilitarize that officer. You also humanize him. He is no longer the Gestapo, but reverts to ofcr Smith or Jones. A member of the community. That’s why some NG units in DC were ordered to take off their helmets 3/n

Three F.B.I. employees is not a political divide. Every F.B.I. field office has two or more F.B.I. agent attorneys whose job it is to advise on the constitutionality of investigations and operations. These three just didn't like the decisions.

Not true. The F.B.I. ALWAYS wants to hear “your side of it.” They are all about fairness and equity, and agree with you about why you had to commit violence against those who stole the election. They will even buy you a soda and a donut during your interview if you ask for one.
