Daniel Hertz is not a knowledgable person in housing construction yet somehow he had a impact in housing here in Chciago?? Many (not all) academics display this contempt because they are operating from a space of insecurity of their own supposed expertise when faced with those that actually do it. I would tag him...but intellectual giant that he is, he blocked me...why? Cause ignorance only survives in a vacuum.

@lacherbauer The end use of housing has has no impact on the cost of the building of it..cabinets that are sold don't have a two tier system of cost based on their end use...if anything you can get cheaper finishes for rentals. Dan=dumb here.

Carlos Rosa @35th_Ward is definitely anti housing..proactively downzoning a building to B3-1 is straight up anti housing in an area that needs more of it. 2451 Kedzie could easily be converted to lofts..at least it used to be a easy conversion.
