I respectfully disagree about Macy’s being good stewards of the Marshall Fields Building. Until the last couple years, they had done no maintenance on the building since acquiring in ‘04. The Xmas window once a seasonal hallmark have really fallen off. They downsized to just 4(?)

Target bought Marshall Field's in 1990. It sold it to May in 2004 which then sold it to Federated, which owns Macy's and Bloomingdales, shortly thereafter. That's why the flagship on State is now a Macy's. They've been great stewards of the store, which is the second largest.
