2 things. First, Despite no one caring about my opinion, I have always been in favour of exclusives and understand the value they bring. Not all Xbox fans are the same. Some still stand by what they truly believe and will air it while also accepting the changes happening cause ultimately there is nothing anyone can do about it. That is the stark reality. Just like If Sony tomorrow said we are putting GoW on Xbox. Might not agree with it and you can air your discontent but ultimately powerless to change it. Hoping the point comes across that despite everyone loving to lump all Xbox fans under one umbrella, its not a good look and pretty stereotypical (appreciate you said many as opposed to Reforge saying "all"). Second "They had mass layoffs already, so chances are a lot of that retention was cancelled out. Meaning Bungie likely cost them far less than the $3.6bn." Wasn't there articles exposing this already, staff being let go just before and Bungie recouping that money, some a day before for example? There was a lot of shady stuff happening at Bungie, so I doubt Sony got that money back. Though I cannot say what you stated is wrong, and vice versa with what I said above, none of which from either is factual information and assumptions at best, Bungie, in particular Pete P was pretty ruthless and nasty with how he did things and I'm more inclined to believe he kept the money within Bungie. That Said Bungie is a former shell of what it once was and is pretty much Sony now and probably for the best.
