Seven Mile Beach's land is so dynamic and varied that the quest for a routing has required the elimination of a huge number of possibilities. However, after much consideration, this is Messrs Clayton and DeVries's proposed traversing of the site.

The 9th at New Zealand. The ponticum around the green has now gone, Simpson's original bunker configuration has been restored and the fairway bunkers are no longer lost in the heather. Still plenty to do but the fruits of our labour are beginning to be seen.

The Addington has many superb holes. Its most idiosyncratic is unquestionably the 12th.
For the first time in many years, one can now see the green from the tee. As for the huge green complex, the difference between today and last October is stark.

In 1930, Bobby Jones advocated a tee shot down the right on to the first hill and then the heroic shot over the chasm to the green. For the first time in decades, that option is returning.
