You might think it's retarded but it's literally true. Do you think white people just magically popped up in the Caucasas region? The term "indigenous" is usually relative to a certain arbitrary period. My question is why is one period more important than another? Like, there were tribes well before "Native" Americans set foot on that continent. The most realistic explanation I've seen is that whoever is "indigenous" to a region is basically those who conquered that region while also being able to defend it better
