Iโm irritated bc someone I know is quite sick w covid and wonโt take Paxlovid bc it interferes with their statin. Letting a cardiotoxic virus rage in the body is clearly more dangerous than stopping a statin for a week. The messaging is off.

Ophtho here. I still havenโt seen anyone swab the conjunctiva for antigen. Should be easy to do with an antigen test. Youโd need some tetracaine to make the swab more tolerable.

Iโm more at peace now that I realize the N95 is going to stay on for a while now and Iโve been able to upgrade all my offices with HEPA filters. Iโm fortunate to have a house and a partner who is also very cautious. Weโre ok with hiding.

I guess some people are unfamiliar with blood and shit smells but I am not. Wearing a good quality N95 mask on a flight is a good health practice. Considering that Air France runs flights from the Congo that could have been any sort of hemorrhagic fever.

I donโt think these criticisms are in good faith. Iโve been working in healthcare and my partner is an essential worker in logistics and weโve had to work through covid in a place with few mitigations (Florida). Maximizing mitigations is key.
