2) Wage stagnation combined with rising citizen debt (not national debt, i.e. credit cards/student loans, etc)

You are referring to Hamas’s co-optation of the phrase in the late 1980s.
The phrase predates Hamas by nearly 3 decades, born out of nonviolent protest in the 1960s.

The major findings weren’t that cops were killing people indiscriminately, it was that they were badgering the citizens of Ferguson, and over ticketing them to raise revenue.
