My parents did this (not outright but my mums the homeowner) because of his volatile past. They stayed together - have been together 50 years it doesn’t bother him a bit. He’s cool like that and appreciates her right to protect herself :)

So glad he survived, but i'm sure his life forever changed/traumatised! The man who killed my uncle got jail time for another murder, and a lot of poetic justice happened in his life... if he hadnt got the jail time imagine how many catholics he would have killed. Karma got him!

Thank you, it was the day before my dads 21st birthday and he idolised him. I've been trying to form this story into a book for a while, can't believe how lucky I am to have my da. Gerards only crime was being a catholic. They rompered him, robbed him and shot him dead. RIP x

4 kids here. 2 home, two hospital. one breech, one i used pethidine as pain relief. the others gas and air... two "early" two "late...varying degrees of breastfeeding success... between 7lb 6 and 9lb 11.... nothing is certain and i hate smug mums like those you mention
