Isom 1 is one of the worst produced comics I've ever seen. It is laughable that it has to print. Eric wants to talk about making good comics but can't even get an editor to fix his water down cape comic that reads like the bottom of the dollar bin at your local shop.

The Bitch Planet script excerpt is establishing a main character and an important setting.
Putting this level of detail in every scene, including a one panel scene of a guy shouting in a bookstore would be quite unwelcome to most artists.
It's comparing apples and not-apples.
