Light Bringer
Can’t say much because of spoilers but I loved it. Arguably Pierce’s best work yet. The wait for the final book will be long but worth it. Lives were changed with Light Bringer and will be changed once more with Red God.

The Blade Itself
Mostly character driven but still a good read. Abercrombie’s character work is excellent, even more impressive seeing as this was his debut novel. Glokta was my favorite by far, easily one of the most entertaining fantasy characters I’ve read.

Dark Age
Words cannot describe the impact this book and series as a whole has had on me. Pierce Brown has truly created a masterpiece.

Before They Are Hanged
Even better than The Blade Itself. Abercrombie continues to impress me with his character work and prose. Glokta had another masterclass performance as expected but the entire cast improved from the previous book. Looking forward to Last Argument of Kings

The Well of Ascension
More of a politically focused narrative, which I can see why didn’t work for some but it worked wonders for me. I thoroughly enjoyed everything about this book, especially the romance.

Really enjoyed this book. Loved the unique magic system and the cast especially Vin and Kelsier. The atmosphere/setting was also one of my favorite aspects.

Words of Radiance
Great follow up to The Way of Kings which was already excellent. This was a step up in every aspect from the first book especially with Shallan’s character work. Looking forward to Oathbringer.

The Hero of Ages
Solid conclusion to Mistborn era 1. Spooks pov chapters felt sudden and dragged in certain sections but other than that I enjoyed the book. Mistborn era 1 overall was a very fun read. Will be continuing to era 2.
