📽️🧵 Have a summer, Nikola!
The 20yo Nikola Jovic showed out in the group stage, finishing 2nd in scoring for Serbia at 17ppg, after a perfect shooting display today. But Jovic's game is much more than just scoring. Join me to see what exactly the Miami Heat forward has to offer
🧵 Jake LaRavia, the Draft Twitter favorite already contributing in Memphis
The Memphis Grizzlies have found yet another gem in the 2nd half of the NBA Draft. Last night's game showed why LaRavia is not only a piece for the future, but also the present. Come see why
🧵 The passing of Jovic
Nikola Jovic is already a fan favorite in Miami after, uhmm, 5 preseason games. The 19yo shows a maturity beyond his years, someone that can already fill a need at the 4 (or even 5), not only with his shooting, but also with the way he gets teammates open
🧵📽️ Path to MVP
Ruben Prey was the MVP of Patras ANGT, with 14 PPG, 13.5 RPG and 3.3 BPG. Take a look at how he did and why the Portuguese youngster is one of the most talented prospects in Europe.
🚨NEW WORDS🚨
Thursday's NBA Draft will probably be the stage for one of Portuguese basketball's best moments ever. As we count down the hours, I have prepared a guide on what to expect of Neemias Queta in the NBA and why teams should draft him!

Heat fans are thrilled with Terry. Understandable, the Heat clearly needed a change. But Lowry's time in Miami isn't appreciated enough. He was there when the stars were out and showed up in big moments. Hope Heat fans can appreciate what Lowry brought

have been working on a new draft project in the form of a digital magazine. The 1st edition is out now! Please go check it and let us know what you think.
📽️🧵 Max Strus has become one of the best role players in the league and he showed just that last night, against the Charlotte Hornets. 31 points on 10/16 FG (8/14 from 3), 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Let's watch how he impacted last night's game

🧵 Bons turnovers
A resposta curta? A resposta longa? É seguir a thread
Bam Adebayo's aggressiveness (or lack of it) has been the talk of the town following game 2, so I decided to dive into some film and see what happened. Join me!

I took a deep look into stats and playtypes to find the biggest standouts from the '22 EC in Izmir. Here are 20 of them and 12 honorable mentions. Division B coming soon!

@ClayAtki
and I teamed up to analyze the standouts in the last U19 tournament and here's the result! Players are ordered by our prospect rankings.
🇫🇷 Melvin Ajinca - Had a breakout tournament with his swarming defense and knockdown 3pt shooting
First trip to Vegas Summer League in the books! An unforgettable experience where I got to meet so many friends, make new ones and be with so many talented people in this field. Absolutely overjoyed with the outpouring of love I got from the work I've been doing. More to come!
You guys probably don't know what this means for us over here in Portugal. We're not a basketball country and I didn't think this day would ever come, honestly. But it is here, we have a Portuguese player in the NBA and it opens so many doors.
🧵 2.5 minutes to grab a game
When Curry sit, at the start of the 4th, the Warriors were up 12. When he returned, 2 and a half mins later, the lead was 5. In that time span, Jaylen Brown took over and changed the game. Let's watch how

João Panzo is one of the players in focus at the FIBA website for the U16 European Championships - Division B, starting this Friday. Someone who can score both inside and out and protect the rim, with good size. Should be another Portuguese big to follow
🚨NEW WORDS🚨
I spent the last few weeks compiling information on the Portuguese league (LPB) and am releasing a 6-part study focused on international players and young Portuguese guys in the league, their impact and how our teams can improve. Stay tuned in the next few days!
🧵📊📽️ Been working on this project for close to a year, so I'm happy to share some of it. I've created my own database, dividing players by offensive role and trying to project if they could fit on the next level (incl. different roles). Starting with Euroleague ball handlers ⬇️
Gustavo Teixeira ('00, 6'1'') finished the regular season with a 15 pts, 11 asts, 8 rebs game. One of my favorite young Portuguese guards, already with a starting job at Esgueira. Really good PnR ball handler, patient with the ball and with great court vision

@AZSummerCat
@Mr_Yi89
@tomhaberstroh
An international prospect who happened to be a champion in the 2nd best league in the world. It was too easy not to miss, but some teams still did
Rúben Prey ('05) was one of the standouts in the U16 Spanish championships. The Portuguese showed his ability to score outside and an improved game inside, where his mobility, patience and footwork were in display. His length and his rebounding prowess are still impressive
Where does Swish Theory rank in terms of websites analysing and even teaching the game? Because they're super high for me, always informative, I always learn something reading them. What a gem from

Evaluating a prospect's shooting potential is more complex than meets the eye.

🇵🇹 Rúben Prey finished with 10 points on 4/7 shooting, 4 rebounds and 1 steal in his national team debut. Played 21 minutes, with including at the end of the game. Offers mobility and a roller/driver at the 4 that Portugal doesn't have
🧵 Beam me up, Scottie (Parte I)
Just noticed I reached 1000 followers on here. So thankful to have so many people interested in what I have to say and follow my work. It's been a great right and I'm excited for what's to come! Thank you so much everyone!
My first piece for

📽️🧵 Don't look now, but the best Defensive Rating since the All-Star break belongs to... the Charlotte Hornets. And a lot of it has to attributed to Mark Williams. Standing 7'0", with a 7'7" wingspan, let's take a look at what he does for this Charlotte team
🚨📊🧵 18+ Standouts from the U18 Euro - Div. B
Continuing the trend, I took a deep look into the best players from this month's Euro Champ. - Div. B. A total of 30 players who shined in various ways
🇸🇪 E. Cadeau ('04) - 6'1
🇸🇪 T. Fasasi ('04) - 6'8
🇸🇪 W. Kermoury ('04) - 6'5
Good game from Tristan Vukcevic (2003), newly-acquired by Partizan. Showed his ability to spread the floor, attack the rim and some post play. Vukcevic finished with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 40% from 3.
Basketball Without Borders is back in Europe, for the first time after last edition in 2019.
Taking place June 1-4 in Milan, Italy, the event will include some of the best 2005-born European prospects.
Here's the full roster, source told Eurohopes.
I know I'm gonna forget someone, but
@NoCeilingsNBA
&
@SwishTheory
have become the go-to guys for the NBA draft.
@Barlowe500
&
@MavsDraft
finally getting the deserved recognition.
@eyreball
is one of my mentors and a guy who shouldn't have to wait this long for his breakthrough
It's my favorite yearly tradition: marvelling at Juan Nunez passing the ball and finding the tighest spaces he can do it in. Best passer in the draft with the way he finds passes in every situation possible and forces the defense to constantly scramble
Eduardo Francisco ('03) from Angola has come through the ranks at Benfica and is already playing at the senior level. Long athlete that can step outside, moves really well and can really defend inside and out. More on him soon
Almar Atlason is the most exciting players to come out of Iceland and one of the best in Europe in the last few years, so he should be an interesting watch at Bradley this season. Shot creator with size, as many ways he can put the ball in the basket
6'8 🇮🇸 Almar Atlason will attend Bradley University this season. Comfortable handling the ball, always looking to create shots. Really good, rangy shooter, can also get inside and use his size or find teammates on drives. Good defender with good instincts coming off the ball.
Really excited to get to Munich for my first ever ANGT! Before that, while you make your trip there, here's a list of the guys I feel can make a big impact. Thank you to everyone that helped me with this article too.
By the way, let me know if you'll be at the tournament.
The first qualifier of Adidas Next Generation Tournament starts this friday, in Munich.
@antoniodias_pt
will be there and has compiled a list of more than 30 of the most intriguing prospects to follow in the tournament.
It's still weird how some NBA commentators almost pride themselves on mispronouncing foreign players' names. That's a really important part of your job, be better
🇵🇹 Jhonathan Andrade ('06) - 6'0
Andrade also played a big part for Portugal, forming a dynamic duo with Noronha. More polished creating, especially in tight spaces, he can also play the passing lanes and steal the ball for easy baskets
Had so much fun at
#AdidasNGT
Munich these last few days. A lot of prospects and good games, had the chance to meet so many new people and learn more and more about the game. Thank you to everyone, especially
@EHoopsScouting
for giving me this opportunity. Off to Paris now!
Interesting showing from Viljami Vartiainen 🇫🇮 (2004) this weekend for HBA. The 6'4" guard showed his passing ability and specially his outside shooting prowess. He finished the game with 16 points, 3 assists and 2 steals.
📊 via
@InStatBasket
One of the best shooters at the Paris ANGT is headed to Florida State. Finished the tournament with 42% from three on 6 attempts per game, off the catch, movement or even the dribble
Adama Bal registered a career high 28 points last night (with a career high 12 free throws as well). So good at finding ways to get to the rim. The physical development has been amazing. Continues to shoot the ball well, at 41% on 4.6 attempts per game
Been utterly impressed by 🇵🇹🇻🇪 prospect Jhonathan Andrade ('06). Totally different from the usual Portuguese guard, has the swagger, creativity and ability to try unusual things on the court. Can really shoot from outside and attack off the dribble to finish or assist

🇵🇹 Nathan Noronha ('06) - 6'0
Noronha confirmed his potential ath this year's U16 European Champions with Portugal. His slashing ability, inside finishing and outside shot (41% from 3) were on full display, as well as his passing lane play

2022 was a weird one. I tried to get out of my comfort zone, especially with public speaking, podcast appearances, etc and feel like I did a great job at it. I found new ways to improve my work on here and that granted me a full time job abroad.
Playing off the ball, LaRavia will always be on the lookout for distractions from the defense. Here, Mitchell is caught ball watching and Jake attacks the rebound as soon as the Jones is preparing to shoot. Wins his position and the rebound after

Noronha played more as a 3 and D in this tournament, acting as spot up shooter and the main POA defender for Portugal and did a pretty good job at that, even if it's not his main role going forward. His improvement as a shooter was definitely felt
Class of '24 🇵🇹 Nathan Noronha had a solid first U18 European Championship. More of an off-ball player, shot 50% from 3 at a good clip, with a clear development in his release. Showed high activity levels on defense, both on and off the ball. Will be Portugal's main guy next year
A new career-high for 🇫🇷 Maxime Raynaud, with 29 points against Arizona, including 5 of 6 from three. Starting to make a case for the NBA draft with his floor spacing, post creation and rim protection at 7'1. Raynaud is shooting 55% from 3 in the last 10 games, on 2 attempts/game
