OTD in 1943 in Saratov prison died one of the world’s greatest scientists: the Russian genetist, biologist Nicolai Vavilov. For opposing Lysenko’s anti-genetic theories he was arrested in 1940 & sentenced to death in July 1941. The sentence was commuted to 20 years in prison

Ukrainian Army reports that it’s special forces have eliminated a radio and electronic warfare unit of the Russian Federation. It turned out that the unit was protected by elite spetsnaz of the General Staff of RF. After a short bit bloody firefight the Russians were eliminated.
