Whats hilarious about this is that Luther said to the Roman church time and time again that if they found anything in his writings that contradicted scripture, he would be the first to throw his writings in the fire. And the Romans could never find a good enough reason to do so.

The Romanists destroyed the true Catholic Church and tried to kill Luther when he tried to fix their errors. Christ wanted us to be united, but he also wanted us to steer away from false prophets and churches that preach falsely against his Gospel.
But @lutherananswers assured me that Luther never wanted to separate from the Church.

Read John 6:11-59, the Lords Supper passages, and 1 Corinthians 10 & 11. Christ did not establish the Eucharist to remember His forgiveness. He established it for us to receive His forgiveness. Taste His body and taste His blood for the ultimate feast of victory.

@RealDavidReece I genuinely want to better understand your position, so I have to ask: Where in Dordt were Lutherans (or anyone, for that matter) condemned as heretics?. Besides that, I worry that if Calvinists make āTULIPā the litmus test, we will condemn people who are actually consistent with.

My pastor preached about how neither party is the solution to our problems. Only Christ can make a big difference. Iāll be keeping that in mind while I vote and whatever the outcome is.
