@nickmmark Hey! Please verify - the mortality difference is not significant in terms of absolute mortality differences (look at absolute difference 95%CIs), they report p value for a test if the difference is less than margin 5.4%. The mortality diff of 1.5% is not stat significant.

@Rippansalhotra @ABCDEcografia @IM_Crit_ @iceman_ex @ross_prager @NephroP Maybe aortic stiffeness is skyrocketing with concurrent severe vasodilation. Idk, maybe this would explain the initial raise in SBP with such a low DBP.... anyways, i would place a second arterial line + manual cuff

@ross_prager Is there any evidence to support this? As far as I know these autoregulation curves are really theoretical and get completely unreliable when you treat a patient with vasopressors. Also is there any evidence to support higher pressures in chronically hypertensive pts ?

@PulmCrit @CHassager Important limitations: high chance of complications, no clear early mortality benefit (only at 180 days?), low prior probability of benefit (IABP and ecmo didn’t show improvements in the past), no confirmatory trials

@DrFDamico @giovannilandoni @SRAnesthesiaICU @DrToddLee @GiacomoMonti @MMarmiere @alessanro_pruna @Stefano__Turi @alebelletti1 Very enlightening paper! I especially love the part „the more vasopressors patient needs, the lower MAP we should accept”. Congratulations!
