(5/x) So how can you work on problem representation? The first step is be deliberate. Ask yourself, how certain am I of this diagnosis. If less certain, include more information and acknowledge this. Next, learn more about the process of diagnosis. I am a huge fan of the IM reasoning podcast - Finally, see lots of patients! They are our best teachers. Any other PEARLS from expert diagnosticians out there? @katiewiskar @ThinkingCC @khaycock2 @john_basmaji @MaratSlessarev @Bram_Rochwerg @KimLewisMD @traumaicurounds

(3/x) This doesn't mean there aren't challenges.. there are a LOT of journals out there. Adding these in to our database with incredible attention to details is time consuming. We have built a number of tools that help speed this up, but ultimately, a human-in-the-loop is needed to ensure that highest quality. Also, journals update their requirements! We are developing robust surveillance systems to monitor this, but another technical challenge. Luckily, we have a team of super talented engineers working on this and these are all solvable problems!

@aliworth18 Yeah good call. I had a solid couple of years as an IM resident working out immediately post 24 hour call... then I missed re-racking the weights after an overnight press and screwed up by wrist!
