Scotland looks after its students better, my son`s experience is testimony to that difference, 2k bursary, no tuition fees, food/lodgings loan at low interest, free bus, subsidised train travel, 10% off all his shopping for clothes, food, etc and more.

That is true the SNP council members voted to offer 5%. The missing bit is that the Tory/Labour coalition voted that down and instead offered 3.5% and that provoked the strike. So the truth is the SNP wanted to offer more and Labour/Tory councillors blocked them from doing so.
