I can only assume that anyone in Scotland considering voting Labour has no memory of how utterly useless they were here the last time. Vote for a Scottish party, not a branch office of an English one.
My favourite Alex Salmond moment: David Cameron joins him at St Andrew's House, a strategically placed Scotland map showing SNP dominance in the background. Classic.
IT'S IN THE BBC'S INTERESTS TO STOKE UNREST IN SCOTLAND.
The state broadcaster has been desperate to paint English nationalism as UK-wide unrest because it does not want Scotland to think it could do better as an independent country.

They really are desperate to bring Scotland into this. They were already clutching at straws with Belfast, calling it 'UK riots' - anything to avoid addressing the real problem of English nationalism. (1/2)
Mundell: SNP sought to “use Brexit as cover to change constitutional settlement to give Scottish Parliament a veto over UKwide responsibilities; something we cannot accept”. *WE*. YOU'RE THE SCOTTISH SECRETARY. YOUR JOB IS TO PROTECT SCOTTISH INTERESTS. RESIGN

The idea that this toadying little weasel is meant to be in Westminster to represent Scotland's interests makes me sick to my stomach.

Yesterday I got my hair cut. Young Muslim barber from Kurdistan said he'd lived in Liverpool and Manchester, laughed about unemployed rioters saying 'they took our jobs'. Much prefers Scotland because 'the people are friendlier'.
It'll be a long time before England admits it shot itself in the foot, but it will eventually. Scotland - you have a way out of this economic disaster next year.

on 6 May.
Tory Director General Tim Davie visits BBC Scotland. A week later coverage of First Minister’s daily Covid Briefings are cancelled. This is a political decision that will cost Scottish lives.
"Ruth Davidson throws down gauntlet to May". The Herald still under the impression that the PM cares about anything her Scottish branch manager has to say.
For this reason, I'm not sure any counter-demonstration in George Square on Sept 7th is wise. Obviously we all want to send them a message that they're not welcome in Scotland, but wouldn't it be better to leave them isolated, their ignorance and hate exposed? (2/2)
“The organisation publishes no information on its donors and lists a firm of solicitors as its main director. This makes it impossible to know for certain who controls or funds it.” - EXACTLY THE WAY THEY WANT IT.
This is all just starting to look like England has a massive inferiority complex. Blue passports, pint symbols on glasses, imperial measures. All of it symbolic and utterly pointless.
Boris Johnson is to announce the return of imperial weights and measures, making it legal for market stalls, shops and supermarkets to sell their goods using only Britain’s traditional weighing system post-Brexit
Why the union is doomed:
"On average, in the latest polls nearly three-quarters (72%) of those aged 16 to 24 say they would vote Yes, whereas only two in five (40%) of those who are 65 or older want Scotland to leave the UK." John Curtice
I've received yet another knockback from Creative Scotland. I'll say this for them, they're getting very creative in their reasons for refusing me. I only mention it here so you understand why I depend on crowdfunding. No choice.
"Ewing famously said 'Stop the world, Scotland wants to get on'. Scotland has been trying to get on ever since, but the British establishment would generally prefer that it stayed off." - My tribute to Winnie Ewing in 'Cool Scots'.
"Boris Johnson’s push for Tory leadership could kill off Ruth Davidson's bid to become First Minister." What's more likely to kill off her bid to become First Minister is a lack of votes.
Good morning
@murdo_fraser
. I'm delighted you've thrown yourself into the shallow talent pool that is the Branch Manager (Scotland) contest. You've been excellent value as a cartoon character - think what you could do as leader! Anyway... (1/2)
Independence is inevitable, but I can't help feeling that Westminster's

rejection makes it all the more likely to happen this year. Tick tock UK, you're on borrowed time.
FYI the way to complain about this wilful misrepresentation by

is not through Ofcom - they won't respond until you contact the BBC directly. You can do that here:
Here's that cartoon that got the Lib Dems all hot and bothered yesterday, 'The Discreet Charm of the Liberal Democrats'. Expect the abacus of truth and an Alex Cole-Hamilton shaped space.
