@ShashiTharoor When funds are limited, priorities have to be set. There is nothing wrong with setting guidelines for what kind of research will be paid through the public purse. Every organisation has criteria laid down prospectively. Here is a link to BHF criteria.

@pickover Yes, true. (P+1) x (p-1) is a product of two even numbers( because p is prime). So it will always be divisible by 2x 2 i.e 4. Also p-1, p, and p+1 are three consecutive numbers, so one of them has to be divisible by 3. So yes, the p sqred - 1 will always be divisible by 4x3 = 12.

RECOVERY: Very nice study. Operative Mortality 0% here. So if patient: low risk for SAVR; surgery should be offered for asymptomatic patient with severe aortic stenosis. Of course, some patients may choose to wait. Can have low threshold to intervene. @SCTSUK @TaviFeb.
At a median of 6 years of follow-up, operative mortality or CV death occurred less frequently in asymptomatic patients with very severe aortic stenosis who received early valve replacement surgery than in those conservatively managed. #AHA19
