It really makes me sick and disgusted 🤬 reading some of the (racist and sexist, etc.) online comments from mostly guys about this young and sweet 9 year old chess star, Bodhana Sivanandan. Instead of celebrating the incredible achievement of making the Olympiad team at age 9,

Double GOLD for India! 🇮🇳 Team bounced back big time after a bad 8th and 9th round. IM Divya Deshmukh literally carried her team (9.5/11 around 2600 performance), with IM Agrawal Vantika contributed big time (7.5/9 around 2550 performance)! Big congratulations to the team! 👏
Just saw an amazing Tollywood movie RRR (Rise, Roar, Revolt) on

India's two teams, 🇮🇳 Open and Women 🇮🇳, are BOTH 7-0 in match play! They dominated when they could, and found ways to squeeze out wins when needed! And, they are playing so far like a team! Some teams have 5 players that play like 5 individuals. But I can clearly see the unity
Up until now, I believe the best brother/sister pair is IM Dan and GM Pia Cramling. (Am I missing another brother/sister duo?)
But

It is after 2 am in Budapest! There are still thousands of photos to sort through and upload. Will try to get it done in the next 24 hours. I will leave you the final image of the night,

My simple and clear solution to deter chess cheating:
1) Delay broadcast by 30 minutes
2) No electronics allowed (currently in place)
3) Spectators first 15-30 minutes only
4) 1st cheating offense = 2-5 year ban
5) 2nd cheating offense = lifetime ban

I lost count on how many times in my life I’ve been called ugly, stupid, fat, useless, no brain, no talent, or far worse, by fans, opponents, and even chess politicians, etc. If I let these words bother me then I would not be here today. A champion has to block everything out!
Both Nepo and Ding are amazingly talented players. Nepo may even have another shot at the title in the future because that is how talented he is. In this match, the nerves and will of both players were severely tested. However, to be a champion, one has to have ice in his veins,

Many “men” still insist that female chess players do not face any challenges. The “only” reasons why they can never be as good as men are:

Just signed a major book deal with one of the biggest publishers in the world. This book will cover the story of my life in the past 50+ years, from when I started in chess, all the way until today. A lot of details in this book are not known to the public & never been discussed.
For 50+ years, I’ve heard countless horrific stories shared by female chess players about sexual harassment/attack/abuse… I’m also a victim many times over. No matter how often these situations were brought up, members of the brotherhood were protected. (Part 1)

When I was younger and started to develop physically, I was sexually/physically harassed/abused. To avoid problems, I tried to look as plain as possible. I was then labeled fat/ugly. When I’m me, unwanted sexual advances start again. It’s an endless cycle for many women in chess.

When I was 4, I was told chess is not for girls. When I aimed to be a GM, I was told that it's impossible for women. When I beat men in chess, many refused to shake hands. Now when my teams win, some male coaches do the same. Never let naysayers dictate you!
