Thank you so much for your suppport @ApsanaBegumMP in our fight to save jobs and services at @SolaceWomensAid. Indefinite strike action due to commence this Friday by our brave members but we really hope Solace CEO does the right thing so strike action can be averted.
I’m standing with Independent Domestic Violence Advocates in Tower Hamlets taking part in historic action to save their jobs. I know personally how life-saving the support of an IDVA is. It’s essential that redundancies are avoided & that the provision of the service continues.

Indefinite strike action is looming. We stand strong with the heroic IDVAs & call for Solace to pause the redundancies, get round the table with members & the council to ensure; no reduction in domestic violence services, no jobs losses, permanent contracts and UVW is recognised

Tower Hamlets has the second-highest rate of domestic abuse in London. The cuts mean fewer women & children will get critical support. The workers, all UVW members, voted 100% in favor of strike action to protect their jobs & the survivors who depend on them. Spread the word!
