The Merlin helicopter fleet remains grounded after the fatal accident on September 5th.
Because of this, Merlins may not initially embark on HMS Prince of Wales for Ex. Strike Warrior. If this becomes the case, Wildcat helicopters will take over the SAR role during flight ops.

A Merlin HC4 helicopter ditched during night-time flying operations from HMS Queen Elizabeth last night.
Two crew members have been rescued and are recieving medical care. Sadly, the third crew member did not survive the accident.

Sentinel 2 spot of HMS Duncan in Larnaca, Cyprus on the 21st of July. Notably, RFA Cardigan Bay was spotted in Limassol the same day.
I find it likely Duncan will escort Cardigan through the Red Sea, allowing her to return to Bahrain while Duncan remains in the Red Sea.

They are expected to participate in Ex. Predator’s Run, delivering the UK’s largest contribution ever to the exercise.

RFA Mounts Bay has relieved RFA Cardigan Bay in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Will be tracking Cardigan Bay as she likely returns to the UK for maintenance. Currently she remains in Limassol, Cyprus.

in the Mediterranean as part of routine ship and crew rotation.
It will continue to support humanitarian requirements in the region.

HMS Middleton now operating in the Gulf of Oman after Lancaster escorted her through Hormuz. Lancaster sailed on the 2nd after arriving on the 29th. Chiddingfold outbound from Kuwait today, and should return to Bahrain soon.
