Only the second time I've ever reported a driver for anything and it's the second given a diversionary course.
I'm not too fussed about close passes but not when I have my kids in the trailer.
All in all it took about 10min to edit the videos and 2 min to upload to nextbase

Anyone want to know what radicalised me? Repeatedly witnessing the aftermath of people using their mobile phones while driving. One I will never forget was a car full of elderly people on their way home from a day at the park, a taxi driver coming the other way on his phone ended

Ods are, my children are more likely to live longer than yours (if you have any) and have lower M/h issues. Inactivity is currently the biggest killer in the UK and your all cause mortality is an order of magnitude lower as a cyclist. Why don't you care for your kids/loved ones?

2/ up hitting them head on, killing one instantly, another more slowly, painfully and leaving two widowed with life changing injuries. I can still remember the punnet of strawberries from their picnic that hit the windscreen.

How about we fix the actual problem here rather than tell me I should know how busy every road in Yorkshire is on any given day. I've never needed to go up foxhill road on a match day before and neither have a lot of crews.

I decided on a longer ride to do the weekly shop so took the trans-penine trail to penistone in the pouring rain, we're not made of sugar eh. Halley might not have been impressed but I loved it.

It was 20 seconds before we turned off this road. Even if I was in the gutter no car could get past with 1.5m clearance and not cross the white line. My position is irrelevant.

I drive a 4tonne, bright yellow ambulance with battenburg, blue lights and sirens. People still don't see me and pull out on me every single day. Hi Vis does not work.

Folk need to accept that some homes just don't come with parking, if you want to park a car locally you're gonna have to live somewhere else.

I'm being facetious, the only reason the bed is so short on a crew cab 110 is because it can seat 4. I can only seat 3 and then very little else.
Still, I have a longer commute than this guy, carry more cargo in a week and do more passenger miles.

Run lock is there so you can leave the vehicle with heavy draw equipment running without the batteries running flat. You need an exemption for this though. Emergency services and I believe some utilities have it. It's illegal to leave a running vehicle otherwise.

That's kinda the problem Isn't it, we're forced to be dependent on our cars when we have kids for very fair reasons. But if no one cycles there's no argument to improve the cycling infrastructure. I get it's risky but I think the benefit outweighs the risks.

Nope, I was in the dead centre of my lane and if it wasn't safe to overtake he should have waited the 20 sec it took me to get to the junction. Roads are for cyclists, pedestrians, horse riders, walkers and with special permission and training, cars.

It's more dangerous than what though? Per mile it's about the same as walking on the pavement, do you walk on the pavement? Bus isn't much safer either. Can't take a train, can't afford a second car so what are my options?

This is insane, it does nothing to stop motorcycles but is does stop people like my mother in law who doesn't have the upper body strength to get through one of these. Whoever thought it was a good idea should be ashamed.
People still install these… on the recently reopened towpath at the Tinsley end of the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal.

Sheff wednesday should have bought the old dairy over the road and turned it into parking, they have a good part of the responsibility here. But mainly if you can't make it there safely then don't go, they'd soon provide parking if it cut into their revenue.

It would appear you have no idea of current road law. Please point me to any law that says cyclists have to go a minimum speed or for that matter have to obey the speed limit.
